I took my first pottery class just over 5 years ago and fell in love with working with clay. I treat each piece as Functional ART, using many different types of clay and different techniques such as Sgraffito, Mishima and resists to add textures and different colors. I love every step of the process, the throwing, trimming and glazing. The images come from nature and my quirky brain. My studio is in my small cottage, my wheel is on my porch and I have a shed to house the kiln. I have 3 mascots, an old dog, a younger dog, an old cat.
