KID'S ACTIVITIES - 2023

The local organizations listed below offer free, fun and educational booths for children to explore their creativity. Engine #40 in Wedgwood stops by to allow children to hop on the fire truck and ask the firefighters questions.

CraftLab Seattle

CraftLab Seattle is the place to go when you need a theme for your event - kids parties, craft nights and birthdays - they will put together a craft or project that works for you. Stop by their booth at the festival - they will provide instruction and all necessary materials to create an amazing craft that kids will work on and bring home.

Blue Kettle Books

Blue Kettle Books is a local NE Seattle, woman-owned independent bookstore on wheels (a bookmobile!) selling curated, new books for all ages. Come inside our pretty, teal bookmobile and browse our literary treasures - plus coloring books, sketch pads, and writing supplies for the writer and artist in you. Just for the Wedgwood Art Festival, we’ll also have a free children’s bookmark coloring station, too! ​

Concordia Lutheran School, a local preschool - 8th grade school,  offers a fun-filled booth for children to explore their creativity. Stop by to see what exciting new projects that have for you to try!

Wild Smiles Face Painting

Lynn Brevig has been a creative artist and art educator for over 25 years. Children line up every year to get their customized face painting of various shapes, colors and styles.

Seattle Weavers' Guild

The Seattle Weavers' Guild was founded in 1937 to further interest and knowledge of handweaving in our membership and the public and is among the five largest guilds in the country, consisting of well over 300 members. The Guild is excited to be part of the festival and will offer fun weaving projects for kids in a range of ages!

Fire Fighters from Engine #40

Each year the firefighters of Engine #40 stop by to let the kids learn more about their dedication to our neighborhood. Climb on board and meet the brave fire fighters from Wedgwood's own fire station. Learn more about what it is like to work hard to protect the health and safety of our community. Arrival is usually 1-2pm but based on availability.
