My birdhouses are sized for chickadees, wrens, nuthatches, and finches (1 ⅛” hole). The cast concrete face can be removed for cleaning. The cedar box has keyhole screw slots for hanging on a fence, house, or tree, and has been stained and sealed against the weather. While some people prefer to let the houses weather naturally, the entire piece may be resealed yearly with a multi-purpose exterior sealer to keep the color more intense (Thompson’s Water Seal is one option). Please note: while I do work in color “families”, each piece is individually finished and will have variations to make your treasure unique.
