MALIA PEOPLES -
|
As a Native Hawaiian growing up in the Pacific Northwest, I am keenly aware of our need for light. I’m constantly exploring ways to subvert the excessively gray seasons by creating colorful jewelry that uplifts the spirit. I am compelled to work with my hands; my current passion is making jewelry via the contemporary exploration of Nerikomi, hand building with colored clay. Radiant, hand-painted gold details are added to each of my pieces to create a brilliant shine. I release new collections seasonally; make sure to check me out @meltedporcelain on your favorite social media platform for a deeper look into my process.
